vox celesta was founded in March 2001 by Dirk, Daniel and
Thomas, all from Recklinghausen.
During their years of working separately in various projects
they often ran up against musical boundaries that they found
more and more inhibiting.
With “vox celesta” they finally found the latitude
needed for developing their own sound.
It is exactly in this freedom that the vc sound takes shape.
Thematically, the band examines questions of belief,
both religious and otherwise.
With German wave-inspired vocals, powerful, pounding tones
and sacred choirs, the three create danceable melodies and
infectious rhythms that compel listeners to move.
Their songs “Falscher Gott” (“False God”) and “Elektromenschen” (“Electro People”) could
be heard in numerous clubs (both within and outside Germany), where they generate an
enthusiastic response and requests for more
information about the band.
As Support for Suicide Commando, Solitary
Experiments, Tactical Sekt, Das Ich,
Agonoize a.s.o. the three boys not only could
convince during concerts in Germany.
And their success is proof of their appeal.
